About. Chapter 00

    Verified once.
    Trusted everywhere.

Trusted Carrier exists to make trust in transport logistics something you can rely on. Not something you have to reconstruct every time.

    01Where we started

For decades, logistics has worked on trust.

Companies check partners. They review documents. They verify licences and insurance. They do this carefully and professionally.

And then they do it again. And again. And again.

Not because they want to. Because the system leaves them no alternative.

Same carrier. Eight partners. Same checks.

The same carrier, verified sixteen times for one season of work. Multiply by every partner in the network.

    02The insight

    Verification is not the problem.

    Repetition is.

    • 01

The same company is verified multiple times.

    • 02

The same documents are checked across different partners.

    • 03

The same information exists in parallel, never fully aligned.

    • 04

As networks grow, the effort grows with them. At some point, it stops scaling.

    03The idea

    Verify once. Use everywhere.

More than fifteen years ago, this was already clear. The infrastructure was missing. The ecosystem was not ready. Today, both exist.

    04What we built

    A shared foundation for verification.

Trusted Carrier creates verified profiles for companies and drivers that the entire network can rely on. Consistent, reusable, reliable.

    01

    Based on real data

Profiles are constructed from official sources, not self declared forms.

    02

    Verified against official sources

Operator registers, insurance records, identity authorities. The actual ground truth.

    03

    Continuously maintained

Status changes, expiries and revocations propagate automatically.

    04

    Shared with permission

The verified party stays in control of who sees what, and when.

    05Why now

Fifteen years from idea to foundation.

    1. 2009

      The original idea

An initiative inside the German road haulage federation puts a name on the problem. Verification needs to be reusable.

    2. 2010s

      Infrastructure catches up

Digital identity, official APIs and cross border data exchange become viable across Europe.

    3. 2020s

      Networks demand it

Subcontractor depth, fraud sophistication and audit pressure turn manual verification into a structural constraint.

    4. Today

      Trusted Carrier

Verify once. Use everywhere. The trust layer that the European freight network has been missing.

    06Built from within

An initiative of the German Federal Association for Road Haulage, Logistics and Disposal.

Trusted Carrier was not introduced from outside the industry. It was developed from within it. That matters. Systems like this only work when they reflect how the industry actually operates.

    Industry origin

Trusted Carrier does not replace existing processes. It fits into them. Verification happens alongside your workflow. Not before it. Not instead of it.

    07. What this becomes

    A foundation.

Where companies no longer need to rebuild trust for every interaction.

Where identity exists before the transaction starts.

Where working with partners becomes simpler, not more complex.
