Trusted Carrier is not an outside solution dropped onto the industry. It was conceived inside the sector, by the people who run it, and is being scaled with operators who have built logistics platforms before.
Industry origin and concept owner
The German Federal Association for Road Haulage, Logistics and Disposal is the central industry body representing thousands of transport companies and a significant share of freight movement in Germany.
BGL is the original initiator of the Trusted Carrier concept. The idea was first developed more than 15 years ago together with leading logistics operators, with the goal of making trust in transport chains verifiable and scalable.
This origin is critical. It ensures that Trusted Carrier is not an external solution imposed on the industry, but a concept developed from within, based on real operational requirements and long-standing industry challenges.
Strategic investor and implementation partner
Barkawi provides the operational backbone behind Trusted Carrier.
As a strategic investor and implementation partner, Barkawi brings deep expertise in supply chain, logistics, and large-scale operational transformation. This ensures that the original concept is not only preserved, but translated into a scalable, production-ready platform.
Their involvement guarantees execution discipline, technical delivery, and the ability to scale Trusted Carrier from concept into industry-wide adoption.
